Here is my breakfast: Cantaloupe with fresh strawberries, strawberry yogurt and flavored coffee. Eating healthy doesn't have to cost a fortune. So I will break down what it is costing me for breakfast this morning:
1/6th of a Cantaloupe - purchased for $ .34 divided by 6 = about $ .06
A Few Strawberries sliced - purchased for $ .50 for a lb. = about $.03 worth
Strawberry Yogurt - was Free with a coupon = $ .00
Coffee- purchased for Free with a Target coupon = $ .00
Flavored Creamer - purchased on sale for $1.50 = about $ .02 worth
Total for My breakfast is about $ .11! Double that for DH and I spent a total of $ .22 for a healthy breakfast for two. Meals do not have to be expensive to be healthy or taste good. Even in this economy you can eat well and keep the cost down by smart shopping.

Is that Activa yogurt? I stopped by Fry's today for some free Dole salad and 50 cent Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, and when I came out of the store a lady asked me if I would like some free yogurt! Heck yeah, like my husband says, "free" is my favorite four-letter word. :) Anyway, it was Activa yogurt they were giving out, and she gave me four of them! What amazed me was the number of people coming out of the store that were saying "No, I don't want any free yogurt. Crazy people. I haven't tried it yet, but I definitely will!
Hi Shelley,
That is Activa yogurt. I had to do a survey for a major magazine and sent me 4 Free coupons for the 4 packs. I love this yogurt.
Good job on the Free salad and cheap BBQ sauce.
I wish I could get prices on the steady like that! Every once in a while I luck out and can get it cheap like this, but not often enough.
