how do you groom your cat? I mean, do you just brush them, clip the nails and call it a day? I keep feeling like i'm not doing as great a job as a groomer would do, and have been contemplating taking him to the groomer.
It also doesn't help that he hates to be touched for more than 5 minutes. Any tips?
Hi Amiyrah,
I give my cat a bath, then towel her dry. Brush her really well to get all the knots out(she is really long haired) and it takes two of us to clip her nails - one holding- one clipping. After years of always having a cat, I have gotten pretty good at it.
thanks Precious! I guess i'll just have to have more confidence :o)
Amiyrah,
You are welcome. I am sure you can do it. Just rememer to have th water ready to bathe the cat before you bring it in the room. Don't want then freaking early. One more tip...I always hold her by the scruff of the neck when I have her in the water, or she will get away. And I try to bathe her as quickly as possible so she doesn't cathch cold. She doesn't like baths but I figure 4 times a year she can put up with it.
