Under the cover of every TV station talking about the Michael Jackson death, the US House passed the Cap and Trade Bill(energy bill) late Friday night. Not only is this going to cost American citizens jobs but the Democrats put an amendment in there that you need to know about.
When you want to sell your home, you have to, by law, allow a Federal Inspector in your house who will decide whether your house is green enough to sell. If the Inspector doesn't like your windows, you have to replace them before you can place the house on the market. Anything they don't like, you are going to have to spend money to replace whether it be insulation, windows, etc. The burden will fall on the current homeowner to make the house green for the new buyer. Good luck being able to recoup those costs.
Germany has had Cap and Trade for a number of years now and their citizens pay 25 more in utility costs than a couple of years ago.
As far as I am concerned this is the biggest power grab for certain companies in this country like GE who owns the NBC networks. These companies will become rich on the backs of all of us.
In my estimation, this is the worst bill I have ever seen. I have just written my U.S. Senators and told them not to vote yes on this bill. If you feel uncomfortable with what this bill is going to do for your wallet, please contact your US Senators and tell them not to pass this ridiculous bill. It is not too late to stop the bill from passing the Senate. I have no intention of voting for anyone in the House who voted yes on this bill and will not vote for anyone in the Senate who votes yes and I have let them know.

You're absolutely right about this being an abomination of a bill, and I'm ashamed of our media for paying way too much attention to Michael Jackson's death and none to what could be the last straw for our economy. The House voted on this bill without reading it and without a copy of it even in the House. They couldn't have read it if they wanted to! Disgusting how our Congress has stopped representing us. Please call your Senator and let them know we DON'T want this.

We do need an energy bill, I think. I am not sure after realizing that the EPA determined that the temperature on earth will go down right up until 2030. That fact was hidden from the American people until it was dug up today. But not this bill. This bill will make Al Gore a Billionaire and enrich a few companies like GE on the backs of the American middle class. It won't be as long as 4 years if we vote these idiots out of office in Nov. 2010.

I have never seen the likes of the corruption going on now in our govt. Obama enriching his friends and demoralizing the American public at every turn.I don't have much faith in either of the major political parties but this is the worst I have ever seen. He is not listening to the people that elected him. He is just doing whatever he wants with lightning speed. We are all going to be very sorry this man was ever elected President.

I urge everyone to call your Senator's direct line. Write out what you want to say, if you are nervous. Politely urge them to do the right thing and vote no. Our Liberty is at stake.
And I hope everyone remembers how their elected officials behaved when they go to the polls in November 2010. It's time to remind them that they work for us.

I just ment Obama keeps pushing this c****. He just gets us deeper in debt. The last thig we need is a bill that cost jobs and cost the middle class even more money.
