DH and I were up and out early this morning to go get our H1N1 shots. I have to applaud the Erie County Health Dept. There were long lines but they were so efficient that we were in and out in 30 minutes.
Since we woke up to 3 inches of snow and we may get up to 5 more tonight, we decided to run a whole lot of errands today. Two of them were to CVS and Save A Lot. This is what I purchased:

Sweety, I hate to tell you this, but it's dangerous to feed kitty tuna. It blocks their ability to use vitamin E. The condition is called Steatitis and it's dangerous. Some canned jack mackral every so often isn't bad, but you really need to avoid tuna. That being said, my old boy gets the water we drain from the can (he's got to share it with his piggy sister, though!).
But otherwise, Good Job Lady!
Hi Alex M.
I didn't realize that BUT DH gave her a spoonful after we put the groceries away and she turned her nose up at it! I guess I will have to donate the other 2 cans to the food pantry.
That's to bad that you can't get gift cards. Is NY a no beer purchase required for rebates though?
Hi Abigail's Mommy,
I think you have to buy the beer here! :-)
Precious,
What did you think about Save a Lot?
Looking good! I love reading about your shops.
Hi Wendy,
I thought the store was small but relatively clean. The meat did not look very good in my store. The produce and canned goods for the most part were great prices.I haven't gotten bananas at $ .20 a lb in years. I was glad not to have to pay for a cart. Bags were $.03 each but I brought my own plus they had plenty of boxes at the front of the store that you could use. They only take cash and credit cards. I would like to bale to write a check. The bakery type items- bread, Englis muffins and bagels were decent prioes. All in all I could see myself going there once every month or two.
Hi Lucky,
Thanks!
P; if you are out and about today, drop into Tops. The store near my office has just marked down a boatload of meat. Don't know if your store is on the same schedule or not -- but maybe it's worth it to check.
They've got avocados on sale this week too... but I did not buy chips!
Thanks Alex M.
I will check that out when I get out.
