When Our Home in the Phoenix Area was on TV!

My friend, Jodi, from Arizona reminded me yesterday that our home was on TV there as a "Cool Home" on the Fox Channel. I had almost forgotten about that. So since DH and I have a few spare moments, I thought I would post some of those pictures. The top one was after we had the custom valances installed. The others don't have the valances installed yet. But we had them installed on every window in the great room, kitchen and study since they were all rooms that were open to each other. I will have to do this piece meal or the posts will be way to long, so as I get small bits of time and need a break, I will try to post more. Let me just say that DH and I loved that home and if we could have trucked it here and put it on an empty lot we would have.   None of the stainless steel appliances had been installed yet and neither had all new carpet and tile work. I will post those as I post more.  The TV filming was nerve wracking and exciting at the same time. Since we have sold this home, it is nice to have the video that the TV station cut for us.

Wow, your Arizona home looked LOVELY! Can you come decorate my condo? :)

Love your sofa! My evil twin has offered to buy us a sectional for my birthday, now I'm challenged to pick on out. I always notice them, so I had to comment on yours!

I'm looking for one that is pretty stream-lined, no pillows, etc. It needs to be dog-tolerable. But I also don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth and spend a lot.

It hasn't been easy to find what I like!

Hi spaghetti0625,

Thanks! Sure I will come after I get mine done here. Can I bring my interior decorator with me?

Hi Alex M,

Thanks! But I hate to tell you........we hated that sofa. We sold it to the buyer and I wasd glad to get rid of it. The pillows kept falling over or the cat would knock them over. If you get pillows, make sure they are attached to a back. We didn't make the same mistake with the one we bought here. They are attached. Alos my sectional in AZ was so low that I had trouble getting out of it because of my knee replacements. My sofa that is coming from Ruby Gordon is much higher anf firmer and I can get out of it easily.

Good luck finding what you want!

I am again in absolute agreement with you. The major criteria for us, is no pillows! We want as stream-lined and unfussy as we can find. That seems to be a tall order too.

But the placement/arrangement with your sectional is what really stood out to me.

I also love the sectional! Wish I still had my old one.

Can't wait to see your new home all decorated.
