Our menu this week is:
Sunday: Roast Turkey Breast, Stuffing, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Green Beans
Monday: Homemade Turkey Soup
Tuesday: Angel Hair Pasta with Meatless Spaghetti Sauce
Wednesday: Broiled Salmon ( me), Broiled Whitefish ( DH), Salad
Thursday: Pancakes with real Maple Syrup
Friday: Pork Chops with Apples and Cranberries, Baked Potatoes and Corn
Saturday: Tacos made with ground turkey and taco seasoning and a choice of fresh tomatoes, lettuce, black olives, jalapenos, salsa, cheddar cheese, onions and taco sauce.
In our quest to be healthier, I am trying to have at least 2-3 meatless meals a week and use less meat in our meals. So the tacos will only be made with 1/2 lb. of ground turkey for the both of us. When we have the turkey, fish and pork chops, I try to keep the portions at about 6 oz.
About the only thing for this menu that I need to buy this week is the lettuce. I am getting low on real maple syrup but I have ordered that online at Amazon which is much cheaper than buying it in the market. I like Coombs Family Farms. So any shopping I do this week will be minimal.
