Money Saving Challenge: Next Week's Menu

Today was a play day with West so not much money saving got done. He was so cute today hiding all of the pillows in our great room and then having us look for them. Then he would have us hide them and he would look for them. When he would find one, he would get so excited and start dancing. Did I tell you about the gift he brought me on New Year's Eve?  I now have my own Mickey Ears Hat with Grandma embroidered on the back. Now we will all be wearing our mickey hats at Disney.

I did make my grocery lists and drugstore lists for tomorrow and pulled all of the coupons. So I will be up and out early tomorrow morning. And I made my menu for this week. My son reminded me today that we aren't leaving for Disney until next Sunday. I thought it was Saturday but I hadn't looked at the reservations in a long time. :-) So the menu is for all of this week and then DH is on his own. Although I am making him a few things and freezing them.

Sounds good! What did you end up making your DH for next week?

Hi Jillian,

I haven't made them yet. I will be making lasagna this week and Hearty Italian Sausage stew that I got from reading your blog.

Went to Bath & Body yesterday because they had B2G2 and I love the spearmint and eucalyptus hand soap (liquid pump). Was on my last bottle. Used to be $6 for a 12oz. Bottle. Now $5.50 for 8 oz bottle!! Pricey but it is a little thing that makes me happy so at least they were half price.

Hi Kathy,

Nice deal! But they have sure gone up in price.

Thanks for the menu plan. It is great to see what others are doing. I makes realize other ways I can use what I already have in my cupboard. Otherwise I get stuck in a rut and prepare a lot of the same things over and over.

Hi the Domestic Groove,

You are welcome. By meal planning I can keep my grocery budget under control.
