Asian BBQ Pork

Dinner tonight was the Weight Watcher's Asian BBQ Pork pictured above. WE had applesauce and tossed salad with it. It was delicious.

It's been quiet around here except for my son and grandson visiting over the weekend. West is into playing card games with us now. He loves playing matching games. He also loves going into the exercise room with me. He tells me to get on the recumbent bike and then proceeds to keep turning the controls to  make it harder for me to pedal. He takes great joy in this. He is quite the little "trainer".

We did watch the Superbowl game last night as I am sure many of you did. Since I am on WW, I didn't want to ruin my diet with a lot of snacks that we would normally have during the game. So I took the free box of pizza rolls that I got recently and baked them in the toaster oven. I ate 5. DH ate the rest. It made us feel like we hadn't missed out on anything.

We got quite a bit of snow over the weekend. The total was about 9 and 1/2 inches. Enough to make me hope that spring is just around the corner.

Today's mail brought a $12. rebate check from Neosporin.

Our taxes, both Federal and State have both been filed which makes me feel like it really is a new beginning now. Now I can finish as much spring cleaning as I can.

I haven't been doing much as far as money saving except the usual. I have not been out of the house which by itself keeps our money in our pocket. No gasoline used or groceries purchased. I do have to go pick up a few things at Top's tomorrow since it is 6% off Senior Discount day.

I plan on organizing my pantries and freezers( again ) so that I can better find things. I do this often because they seem to get messed up when I am in a hurry.  I also want to make note of anything that I need to stockpile for the next year at BJ's. My membership expires this month. By stockpiling a year on everything I buy there, I won't have to renew my membership for another year.

Please feel free to share with all of us anything that you have done in the past three days or so to save some money.

We just got back from a trip to Ohio and we had similar amounts of snow. We loved it.

I'm looking forward to start my money saving activities again. Even though we packed food and didn't spend much on the trip, I miss my routine!

To start tonight we'll have turkey and noodle soup with rolls using leftover turkey.

Same here, watched the Suprbowl and while watching also started on the sorting of all the printed patterns. Made some homemade bean/cheese dip and some chips. But have to admit, I ate more fruit.
Been working on my "what is needed and what can I use that I have" list. Plus, up dated the freezer and pantry one. And as you, I was home (weather was crabby), except for my walk and that alone saves.
Happy shopping today.

Good morning
I filed our taxes online with Taxact. It cost about $17 because of our state return. I went through Mypoints so I should get points from it. Both are refunds and that will be nice.

I had a nice shopping trip at CVS on Saturday- got new bathroom scales, 4 big hair conditioners, 2 tiny Dawn and 2 toothbrushes for just $4.07 cash. I used coupons and a $6 ECB, not sure how it ended up so low.

In Oklahoma, we have not had even one measurable snow fall this winter.

Hi Jillian,

Soup sounds great on this cold day.

Hi Urmelche,

I love your multi- tasking. Staying home saves a ton of money, I agree. I will be stockpiling some today.

Hi Rhonda,

It's a nice feeling to know your taxes are done.

Wow! That is a superb trip.

I wish our snow would just go away and stay away. By February I have had it with the snow and cold.

Hi Precious, your Asian BBQ Pork tenderloin looks absolutely delicious and making my mouth water I have tried to find the recipe on the weight watchers website and the skinnytaste website with no luck. May I please have your recipe? I cannot praise you enough for all the help you give to everyone. I believe you are a gift from God. I am 73 years old and so wish I had a friend like you. I have never met anyone as helpful and giving as you are. I enjoy reading your blog even though I have not been able to save on my groceries but I enjoy seeing how helpful you are and giving of all your knowledge to help others

Hi Marion,

Welcome to my blog! Wow! You are just a young one. Thanks for your kindness.

The recipe is copyrighted in their Take Out Tonight Book so I can't copy it. It'd similar to this recipe. Just change out the sweet and sour sauce with hoisin sauce:
