A Little of This and a Little of That.........
Before I write about my stockpiling, I want to wish my beautiful granddaughter, Alexa, a wonderful 6th Birthday. It's hard for me to believe that you are 6. I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday and I remember how I fell in love with you the minute I laid my eyes on you. I love you Alexa and I am sorry that I couldn't be there with you today to celebrate. Since it is also your last 1/2 day of school, it should a doubly fun day. I am sure that you and Mommy are having fun this afternoon because I know where you went. Enjoy your birthday dinner with Mommy and Daddy. I love you very, very much!
I am still stockpiling my pantry using coupons. These are the things I purchased today:
10 - 4 packs of Apple and Eve Sesame St. Juice Boxes - $1.00 each - Used $ .55/1 Q's doubled = All Free
5 Lloyd's BBQ Singles - $ 1.00 each - Used $ 1.00/1 Q's = All Free
4 Daisy Cottage Cheese - $ 2.00 - Used $ .45/1 Q's doubled = $ 1.10 each
4 French's Marinade Infusers - $ 2.50 each - Used $ .75/1 Q's Doubled = $ 1.00 each
1 Simply Limeade - $ 2.50 - Used $ .75/1 Q doubled = $1.00
Total OOP was $10.20 including tax. I got rainchecks last week for the Lloyds BBQ Singles but they are ringing up $1.00 this week too, so I saved the rainchecks for future purchases.
I now have 6 cottage cheese, so dinner tonight is going to be baked lasagna cooked in my Nesco roaster out on the patio table. I use the cottage cheese instead of ricotta cheese.
It's a beautiful day here so we spent some time just relaxing on our patio today. The landscape company owner came by and measured for all of the stone walls we want done to finish the few gardens that don't have stonework. We are also having another patio put in our backyard and a wall put around our new tree that butts up against the existing patio. We also want them to mulch all of the gardens when he is finished. We like to put mulch down every other year to keep it fresh looking. So hopefully we will have an estimate and contract within a few days as well as a start date.
I am off to cook the meat for the lasagna and get it in the roaster with the other ingredients. Please feel free to leave a comment if you saved some money today.
